So, how do you beat the boredom? By planning a few adventures. Summer activities in California need to include both indoor and outdoor plans in case of high heat and over-active children. Here are some of our favorites, in no particular order, to do with kids to keep their minds and bodies active this summer, while also giving you some time to bond, and maybe even unwind.

Tahoe -- Lake Tahoe's water is known for its clarity. You can actually see down about 30 feet from the surface and you can even scuba dive and snorkel in the clear, blue water. The maximum depth of the lake is about 1,645 feet deep with an average depth of about 1,000 feet. It is the second deepest lake in the United States after Crater Lake. Since the water is snowmelt, it is cold year round, but in the months of July, August, September and even into October you can swim without a wetsuit. The average temperature of the lake is about 45 degrees F in the winter and 65 degrees F in the summer. -- https://www.gotahoenorth.com/lake-tahoe/towns/incline-village/
